The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot (2018)

Wasn't quite sure what to expect but I bought then DVD anyway and it was a pretty good film

As an agent in WWII Calvin Barr (Aidan Turner) manages to assassinate Hitler, the Nazi's cover his death up by using doubles.
Many years later the now retired Barr (Sam Elliott) is approached by the Government to kill Bigfoot which they tell him has become infected and is passing on a contagious disease, his blood which they have held on record apparently means that Barr is immune to the disease.
Amidst lots of flashbacks Barr's life unfolds including his triumphs and his sacrifices.

Great performances throughout, both funny and touching with plenty action.

Hard To Be A God. I don't recall this in the cinema, but it's an extraordinary Russian film by Aleksei German and tells the story of a group of earth scientists attempting to help an alien world climb out of the middle ages it's caught in. It's a long film, 170 minutes, but an amazingly moving and beautiful one.

Default The Untouchables Pilot The Scarface Mob (1959).

Recently purchased the Untouchables box set on dvd it starts with
a 100 minute tele move "The Scarface Mob" if you like the Feds vs the Mob
this is great viewing superior tv for it's time. Robert Stack is a stand out as
Eliot Ness who spends day and night trying to destroy the mobs main source
of money for the time illegal alcohol there are lot's of shootings on both sides
it is superbly acted and keeps you interested all you can ask for a tv movie
a prelude to the series.

One of my favorite B Sci Fi Movies Wendigo Have the (UK) Blu Ray has black and white and color version on the disc adds a new dimension to the movie.

High Life. A 2018 scifi by French Director Claire Denis, she of Beau Travail fame. It's the story of a group of criminals sent into space to investigate a Black Hole and participate in scientific experiments of questionable ethics. But like all of Denis' films it's also so much more. Not an easy film to get your head around, but if you can it's a very rewarding one. This film is why I like French Cinema so much more than Hollywood.
